We’ve had a number of custom bird feeders over the years, but the one that has endured and travelled from Redondo to Pomona was the cathead feeder.
I had added and soon abandoned a wireframe body, but the results were less than satisfying both functionally and aesthetically.
So when the original cathead feeder was worn and needed replaced, I gave the new head a proper matching cat body made from the same lamp globe as the head.
The head has whisker-dowels as the staging area for the mouth and the tail allows queuing for the belly.
The birds enjoy their new cat.
